Growing Global Footprint
The Bengaluru office represents Figma's strategic expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, joining existing hubs in Singapore and Tokyo. The company has accelerated its global presence with offices across nine cities worldwide, including New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, and São Paulo. As of Q1 2025, 85% of Figma users are based outside the United States, with about half of the company's 2024 revenue coming from international markets.
Strong Indian Adoption
More than 7,000 people registered for the launch event celebrating the Bengaluru office opening. Major Indian companies using Figma include Airtel, CARS24, Groww, Juspay, Myntra, Swiggy, TCS, Flipkart, Zomato, Cred, and Razorpay. The platform's Friends of Figma community includes close to 25,000 members across India, spanning cities from Ahmedabad to Vadodara.
Scott Pugh, APAC Vice President of Sales at Figma, emphasized India's importance: "As it evolves into a global software and manufacturing hub, the value of design will only grow. We've seen increasing demand for modern design tools from Indian companies, and with the office opening, we want to get closer to our users and the community here".
AI Transforming Design in India
Figma unveiled new research at the launch event showing how AI is reshaping product development in India. The study found that 93% of designers say their companies already use AI in design, while 85% agree that AI simplifies writing code. Additionally, 81% of developers reported that design has become more important to the success of AI-powered products.
Expanded Platform Capabilities
The company announced its recent acquisition of Weavy, a generative AI platform, for over $200 million in October 2025. Weavy's technology, which enables users to combine different AI models for image and video generation with professional editing tools, will be integrated into Figma's platform as Figma Weave. The acquisition also establishes an R&D center in Tel Aviv.
Figma's expanded product suite now available to Indian users includes Figma Design for building digital products, Figma Make for turning prompts into prototypes with AI, Dev Mode for developers, Figma Sites for publishing websites, FigJam for collaboration, Figma Slides for presentations, Figma Draw for vector illustration, and Figma Buzz for marketing teams.
Market Performance and Hiring
Following the collapse of its $20 billion Adobe acquisition in 2023, Figma went public in July 2025 in one of the year's biggest tech IPOs. The company's shares briefly pushed its market capitalization past $50 billion before settling around $22 billion. Revenue jumped 38% year-over-year to $274.2 million in Q3 2025, surpassing a $1 billion annual revenue run rate.
The company has begun hiring for the Bengaluru office, with job openings for sales, marketing, engineering, go-to-market, and customer support roles. Abhishek Mathur, Vice President of Engineering at Figma, noted the platform's reach in India: "I know how you build and design for scale. That's the big advantage of working with India".
