Q&A with the creator

What is the inspiration behind dice.design and a short summary of the product?

One of the biggest challenges I observed as a UX design lead, design mentor and colleague is that designers get stuck, and often struggle to unblock themselves from the creative slump. Dice is a tool that uses AI to help UX designers accelerate the design process, blaze past creative roadblocks, and ultimately ship designs faster. It does this by leveraging AI to accelerate the design ideation, inspiration and implementation process - creating innovative UX strategies, sourcing the world's best design inspiration and outlining clear and actionable steps for design implementation.

How does it work, the technology behind it?

It works by leveraging breakthroughs in AI technologies such as fine tuned large language models and natural language processing to translate users' project context into UX strategies and desgin implementation guidelines.

What are you planning next for it?

We're currently working on the beta, looking to integrate a robust inspiration gathering feature set that will allow users to source design inspiration for the generated UX strategies based on their project's unique needs. Imagine a dribbbble or mobbin that you could talk to, in natural language, and get exactly the inspiration you need for your specific project needs.

How do you see Dice.design's future?

I see Dice evolving into an end-to-end UX design AI copilot - helping UX designers at every stage of the UX process, and eventually transforming the way that UX designers work.

Tell me something about yourself and your team?

I'm an innovation designer, design thinker, and design mentor with a passion for AI and other emerging technologies. I've always aimed to position myself at the forefront of innovation and have a firm belief that the value you create in this world is the marriage of your first (design) and second love (technology). For me, that's Dice.

Our team is small and growing slowly. I always believe it's more impressive to accomplish more with less than it is to have a big company that does very little.

At the moment, we're in the search for a CTO, someone who can help me bring my vision of Dice to reality.

Thank you Faris for taking out time and replying to the question. We see Dice.design sky rocketing and helping fellow designers to "Ship creative design faster using AI".

Folks go check out Dice.design and send kudos to Faris making this amazing tool.
